Join us on Saturday 24th October for a very autumnal day at the garden. Our usual plant sale is having a seasonal makeover, with spring-flowering bulbs, gourds, pumpkins and plenty more available to buy.

Take a wander through the garden, explore the greenhouse and pick up everything you need to bring a little autumn colour home or get ahead with planting for spring.

We'll have sweets for little ones (and perhaps big ones if they're well behaved) plus a few spooky surprises waiting around the garden!

Victorian era floristry with a modern contemporary twist!

Learn sustainable floral design combining living rooted plants with fresh cut flower. Offering the longevity of potted plants and the beauty and scent of cut flower.

Over the morning we will make two contemporary floral designs to take home that with the skills you acquire you will be able to maintain for weeks and inspire your love of plants and flowers!

Autumn is the perfect time to give your containers a refresh and start planting for the seasons ahead.

Join RHS-trained gardener Olly Forster for a practical morning learning how to create beautiful seasonal containers and get ahead with your spring bulb planting.

Olly will guide you through choosing the right plants for autumn containers, how to combine plants successfully and how to keep them looking their best as the seasons change.

You’ll also learn how to create a bulb lasagne, layering different spring-flowering bulbs so they emerge and flower at different times, giving you weeks of colour from one pot.

This is a relaxed, hands-on morning with plenty of opportunity to ask questions, get your hands dirty and pick up practical ideas to use at home.

And you won’t be leaving empty-handed! You’ll create a planted autumn container and your own bulb lasagne to take home, ready to enjoy over the months ahead.

Spend three inspiring hours immersed in the beauty of our garden, learning to capture flowers and foliage on paper with the incredibly talented Katie Furzer.

A lecturer at Bath Spa University and an accomplished botanical artist whose artwork has been featured in collections by Karen Millen, Katie brings a wealth of knowledge to this inspiring workshop.

Beginning with a gentle walk through our garden, you'll hand-pick seasonal foliage before returning to our greenhouse to explore sketching techniques, observation and composition.

Guided by Katie, you'll then bring your artwork to life using delicate colour washes, creating a botanical study to take home. Whether you've never picked up a paintbrush or simply want to reconnect with your creativity, this workshop offers a relaxed and welcoming introduction to botanical illustration.

In this three-hour class, Katie will guide you through creating your own beautiful hand-embroidered felt Christmas decoration, inspired by traditional Scandinavian folk designs.

You'll learn how to work with felt and explore different embroidery stitches, colours and decorative details to create something completely your own, with Katie guiding you through each stage along the way.

Designed with beginners in mind, there's no need for any previous experience. Just come along, get creative and enjoy a few peaceful hours making something lovely for Christmas.

You'll leave with your own handmade decoration to hang on the tree!

Join our resident florist Tina for a festive morning creating your own beautiful Christmas tablescape, designed to be enjoyed year after year.

Tina will guide you through creating a lasting table decoration, combining festive materials and seasonal details to bring a little Christmas charm to your table.

You'll also learn how to incorporate a selection of fresh cut flowers, adding colour and those lovely finishing touches that really make your arrangement stand out.
